Hi! I’m Melanie Berman-Gluck (Class of 1981). I am married to Jack and we have three beautiful daughters, two of which are at HDS: Janna in 5th and Tamara in 3rd, and Maya at the JCC Preschool.

My name is Jessica Penrod (Class of 1997). I am currently a junior at Vanderbilt University, double-majoring in Engineering Science (with a concentration in Engineering Management) and Medicine, Health, and Society. I am a second-year Resident Advisor, member of Delta Gamma sorority, President-elect of Vandy Fanatics – a student organization dedicated to promoting school spirit by sponsoring events for the entire Vanderbilt community, member of Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and a founding member of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity.

I will most fondly remember the friendships I formed at HDS; although we are all off at different schools and pursuing various degrees we still keep in touch with each other. The teachers, along with Dr. Sulkes, were very supportive in allowing each of us to be unique and pursue our individual interests which I will always appreciate.

Hello! My name is Karen Bierman Moreno (Class of 1983). I live here in Central Florida with my husband, Tony, and our three terrific children who currently attend HDS: Carli 4th, Tony 2nd and Ellie Kindergarten.

I recently finished a term as president of the HDS parent/teacher organization (H.U.M.) and am now serving as Vice-President of the HDS Board of Directors. We are so fortunate to have a great faculty and staff carrying on the HDS tradition of a GREAT EDUCATION!
